About Josh Stehle
Josh Stehle grew up on the outskirts of Philadelphia where he developed his love for writing and his his bigger love for cheesesteaks. Tall and handsome, (and definitely not the author of this bio) Josh always had a basketball in his hands, and became the captain of his high school basketball team during his senior year. However, by the end of that season, his team had a losing record and crumbling morale, so Josh began to consider other hobbies and interests.
After attending Arcadia University for two years, (as a member of the basketball team, somehow) Josh transferred to West Chester University and began writing his first book, “I am a Superhero Expert: Growing up with my Autistic Brother”.
“I am a Superhero Expert” details the unique experience of growing up with an autistic brother. This emotional memoir provides a glimpse into the challenges people with autism often face and highlights the indescribable beauty it can bring to the world. Told through the eyes of bonded siblings communicating through pop culture, the story offers a new perspective on how fictional tales about powerful heroes transcended the page and screen to teach two young men incredible lessons about love, family, and brotherhood.
At least, Josh hopes it does! Click here to give it a read and let him know if it’s any good!
“I am a Superhero Expert” officially released on December 1st, 2022 to critical acclaim. (Josh considers his mom a critic) Since the book’s debut, Josh has travelled to schools and universities across the Greater Philadelphia area to speak about the importance of awareness and acceptance of the autism community.
Shortly after “I am a Superhero Expert” released, Josh published his second work, “Where the Grass is Greener”. This short story was featured in “Rings of Kindness” by Matthew Goldberg, a collection of heartwarming stories by authors across the country.
The short story was also featured on an awkward segment of FOX29 local Philadelphia news. Josh will not elaborate on this further, since he hopes nobody watches that video.
Today, Josh still lives on the outskirts of Philadelphia, (he needs to get out more) where he is writing America’s next great novel. And by that, he means an epic sci-fi thriller with a strong female protagonist and lovable side characters. So original!
If you can’t tell, Josh is excited about this next book, “Crimson Burning.” He hopes he can finish the book before Disney purchases it’s movie rights for $200M, but we’ll see if he can pull that off.
